Inspired by my love of travel and adventures in the outdoors, the "Inspired Journeys" series is my attempt to capture the colors, textures and energies of the places I've been. My process involves lots of experimentation and play - mono-printing with deli papers, scratching painted surfaces with tools, combining materials together for unexpected affects. Image transfers of photos taken along my journeys are hidden within. I am ultimately led to the final compositions by following the guidance of the shapes, textures and colors within the work. They let me know when I've reached the destination.
